Last Friday the YKK London Showroom Team traveled to Trieste, Italy for the 14th Edition of the International Talent Support contest – ITS2015 and proudly celebrated our 10th year of collaboration! The concept and theme this year was THE FUTURE and the amazingly talented finalists presented their collections to an esteemed group of judges in 4 main contests: ITS FASHION, ITS ACCESSORIES, ITS JEWELRY and ITS ARTWORK
YKK in the main partner for ITS ACCESSORIES and supports the finalists using our products in the lead up to the contest.
THIS YEARS ACCESSORIES WINNERS:
Isabel Helf – Winner of the ITS Accessories Award, in partnership with YKK
The ITS ACCESSORIES AWARD, in partnership with YKK, offers a cash prize of 10,000 Euros and the possibility to showcase a new project in the next edition.
Each application for the accessories competition, to be eligible for the YKK Award, must include in their collection a design which incorporates a fastening product supplied by YKK. The best accessories designer who finds a new and innovative way of using YKK’s fastening products will receive the YKK Fastening Award – a cash prize of 5,000 Euros and the opportunity to be featured in the Autumn/Winter 2015 issue of Dazed & Confused magazine.

The contest saw a very high standard of finalists this year, all of them created exceptional, innovative and inspiring collections.

Previous editions of ITS have launched many successful careers including last year’s finalists Mirja Pitkaart (Accessories Collection of the Year winner); Ivana Demjanovic (YKK Award winner) and Takafumi Arai (YKK Special Award winner) and Maiko Takeda, who has had her designs featured on Björk’s Vulnicura album. Earlier this year Dazed Digital published a retrospective of notable ITS finalists and our exiting partnership.
